Overview

The Grand Princess is the flagship Grand Class cruise ship from Princess Cruises, later joined by 8 other ships in this category. Built in 1998, the ship underwent a multi-million dollar overhaul in 2016. Upgrades to the Grand Princess included adding The Sanctuary adults-only sun deck, additional cabin space, new restaurants, new lounges and much more. She was recently refurbished again in 2019.

Cabin Options

The Grand Princess cruise ship has space for 2,600 guests. Room service is available 24-hours a day in all staterooms and all rooms sleep two guests, while rooms with Pullman bunk beds or a sofa bed accommodate three to four passengers.

Family Suite with Balcony

Size: 319 to 730 sq. ft.

Occupancy: Up to 4 guests

Family Suites with Balcony have two twin beds that convert to queen-size, refrigerator, hair dryer, safe, phone and desk. Premium amenities, such as a walk-in-closet, mini-bar and upgraded balcony furniture, are included.

Mini-Suite

Size: 323 sq. ft.

Occupancy: Up to 4 guests

Mini-Suites have two twin beds that convert to queen-size, television, refrigerator, hair dryer, safe, closet, phone and desk. Premium amenities include a welcome glass of champagne, combination tub and shower in the bathroom, a separate seating area with sofa bed and chocolates on your pillow.

There are many great things for children ages 3 to 17 to enjoy on this cruise ship including the Splash pool, video game arcade, teen hot tub, teen center and youth center. Looking for fun in the sun? Then enjoy a dip in the pool at the Calypso Reef, relax in the hot tub at Neptune’s Reef or work on your tan at the Terrace Pool. For extra peace and quiet, head to the Sanctuary, an adults-only sun deck.

Take an aerobics class or book a treatment at the Lotus Spa® Fitness Center, practice your putting skills at Princess Links or swim against the current in the lap pool. Nightlife is filled with activity on the Grand Princess. Main Dining Rooms (Botticelli, Da Vinci and Michelangelo) - Breakfast, lunch and dinner with open seating from 7:30 to 9:30 am and noon to 1:30 p.m. on sea days and embarkation day. Dinner is available as either fixed seating or guests can choose the Dine My Way^SM dining option.

Chocolate Journeys - Decadent, hand-crafted treats exclusively for Princess’ Chocolate Journeys^SM program.

International Cafe - Ever-changing array of small bite meals, treats, and gourmet beverages.

Alfredo's Pizzeria - Classic Italian calzones stuffed with delicious Italian deli meats and cheeses or fresh made pizza.

The Salty Dog Grill - Handmade gourmet burgers, street tacos and classic hot dogs, served with a variety of side dishes including delicious crispy fries.

Horizon Court - Delightful array of worldwide cuisine, freshly baked breads and regional comfort foods, in a casual setting at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Coffee & Cones - Ice cream sandwiches with a tempting choice of flavors such as classic, cookie colada, snickerdoodle, honey 'n' oats and mint paddy; plus crafted coffee including espresso and cappuccino, latte, chai tea and more.

Sabitini’s Italian Trattoria - Classic Italian food including a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, main courses and desserts for $25 per person.

Vines Wine Bar - Extensive collection of wines, like Opus One, Super Tuscans, fine sparkling wines and regional offerings for purchase.

Ultimate Balcony Dining - Intimate breakfast or dinner for two. Breakfast is served from 7 am to 11 am for $32 per couple, while dinner is served from 6 pm to 10 pm for $100 per couple. Dinner includes a cocktail party, fresh flowers, champagne and a four-course meal.

Chef's Table Experience - Pre-dinner cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a gourmet dinner served in the galley for you and a limited number of fellow guests .
