In 1972, Carnival's first ship, the TSS Mardi Gras, made waves in the cruising industry by providing fun at sea everyone could enjoy. On Mardi Gras, experience six different and exciting themed specialty areas featuring dining, drinking, and entertainment. Look up - you'll see the first-ever rollercoaster at sea, BOLT. This thrilling ride is like nothing ever imagined before and takes you on an adventure above the ship and over the ocean below.
