Carnival Paradise Sets Sail from Tampa, Florida
posted on 12/19/2011 via Carnival Cruise Lines
The Carnival Paradise cruise ship set sail on its inaugural cruise out of the Port of Tampa earlier this month, and is poised to replace the Carnival Inspiration on four- and five-day Western Caribbean cruises from Tampa. This move will make it the newest Carnival “Fun Ship” to operate this popular Caribbean cruise itinerary.

Carnival Cruise Lines is currently the only cruise line to offer year-round cruises from Tampa, sailing on the Carnival Legend and now, the Carnival Paradise. This year, Carnival estimates that these two year-round cruise ships will carry approximately 300,000 passengers cruising from Tampa.

Says Carnival president and CEO Gerry Cahill, “with its convenient location, excellent facilities and proximity to top tourist attractions, Tampa has become one of our most popular homeports and Carnival Paradise will provide an exciting and affordable short cruise option from Florida’s west coast.”
